New USB Microscope Advice

I recently purchased a Celestron 44302 microscope and was wondering if anyone has some general advice on taking pictures with similar microscopes. I have learned that the LEDs on the microscope do not always help give the proper lighting and I do not think there is a way to switch them off. I also would like to know if there are any alternative software choices other than the default one that came on the CD. Here are some examples of the pictures. Any advice on taking better pics with these in general helps!

Also type in 44302 in the search box to the left there is info there on the 44302. Hope this helps.

please use a scanner, to scan your coins and banknotes. It would save you lot of time.

I never really liked the scans of coins. Plus the microscope is so much more precise when trying to photograph double dies and whatnot.
