After a week and a half of no updates due to spring break, I am finally back and getting to it. My school has been canceled and is now online for at least the next month due to the corona virus, so I will be much more active here. I hope to do $200-$300 a week. Anyway, I picked up $100 in pennies and ended up with 53 wheats! Definitely happy with the results. thanks for the support. Totals below as always. Another $75 in pennies down and 29 more wheats added to the collection. 2 1920's pennies were definitely the highlight of the hunt. Speaking of which, I think that I am long, long overdue for an Indian Head penny. I found my last one over 100,000 pennies ago, so I'm thinking I'll come across one soon. Stay tuned for updates. As always, thanks for the support! I haven't been on the Coin Roll Hunting section for quite some time. I got interested in paper some 5-6 years ago, but on occasions I will pick up a box of cents for fun. Just skimming through this thread, I see your not looking for errors and varieties. If I may make a suggestion, why not SLOW down with your goal? There is so much to look for, and some can be quite valuable. For most of us "Coin Nuts", it is a hobby that should also be enjoyed. Just my opinion.

Congrats on your journey! It got me thinking. My figuring might be off but still, the odds are astronomical. For those who think that sellers who sell "unsearched" rolls of US One Cent coins with Indians showing on the end on ebay might be honest: According to your experiment, and at this point, the odds of finding an Indian Head cent in a roll is actually 1 in 81,737.5 coins or 1 in 1,634.75 rolls. Since there are two ends to a roll of 50 coins making the ratio 1 in 25, finding one on the end of the roll is 1 in 2,043,437.5. coins. 1 in 1,021,718.75 on one end or 1 in 1,021,718.75 on the other end. One Indian on the end of the roll, the odds are 1 in 40,868.75 rolls. The odds of finding 2 Indians in one roll on the ends by pure chance, well, I can't begin to figure out. The chances of that happening naturally are probably less than after becoming the president and winning the highest ever Power Ball you go out during a thunderstorm and play a round of golf, getting a hole-in-one on a Par 5 hole and being struck by lightning as the ball rolls into the cup.

Hi Scott, we've now flipped the calender over to May and I realized this thread hasn't had an update in over a month. I know covid is slowing the world down to a crawl but just wanted to see how you are doing?

Hey Guys! So sorry that I haven't updated this in over two months now. My county has been hit pretty hard by Covid, so all of my banks have either been closed or haven't been open enough for me to order any coins. But, our mayor just signed a bill the reopen things, so I should start posting updates soon.
Thanks for the continued support.

Started this goal up again. Fixed up the spreadsheet so it counts my wheats by years etc. Searched 2 $50 bags of pennies this month, only 17 Wheats... May have to try out boxes. Feels like a really low count.

Great idea, I admire the ambition, it is great you have a coin type and size there that goes pretty much goes back to 1856. Although I know finding Indian Heads is a big thing - the ultimate goal would be a Flying Eagle cent and at that an 1856 Flying Eagle cent, I am sure if you searched a billion or even 100 billion pennies, one may be found!
