Just received this from ANACS:
"Our facility is now open and we are currently processing the orders we received while we were closed. Please note that we are working with a skeleton crew as we work to find a way for everyone to work in a safe and healthy environment so this may take a couple of days. Once processed and entered you will receive an email stating it is entered into the system and you will then be able to track the status through the website."
If there is anything else I can assist you with please let me know.
Stay healthy and all the best,

I didn't get that email, but the "don't send us anything" notice is down from their website. Good timing, as I have a couple more submission candidates coming soon.

Like a lot of us, ANACS staff have been in lockdown, unable to get to work.
It seems that they are now using safe distancing polices in the workplace environment, and that means skeleton staffing, perhaps for a few weeks or months. No doubt they will attempt to get back to full speed as soon as possible, because cash flow is the lifeblood of any healthy business.

If safe distancing is the 'new normal', and is going to be long term, expect that the top TPGraders will eventually develop some sort of robotized optically based grading hardware and handling machinery. and then staff numbers will be greatly reduced. Inside the factory, it will probably look similar to a Coca Cola bottling plant. ( or , not sure which.) With the current 'new normal', their current business operations in my opinion, are not long term viable, due to large client demand.

Increase in wealth, the production of goods and services, better housing, healtheir diets and increased education. That can all be lost from this pandemic.

My point is that a lot of peoples lives changed during that time. There was an adaptation to a new normal, not much different than those adapting to increased automation today. Yes, it was a good thing in the long run, but it was not that easy for many who lived through it. Just ask the Luddites. People had to adapt. They did adapt. We can do it again.

Received on 5/18/2020 from Paul at ANACS - they're back up and running again!
ANACS COVID19 Update - OPEN for Business
ANACS friends and family,
We're happy to announce the reopening of ANACS.
As on last Monday, May 11th, we resumed business for the first time since late March. While we continuously collected and secured daily mail and deliveries, this was the first significant closure in our 43 year history.
We've spent the last week retooling our procedures, prioritizing aging submissions, logging new orders that arrived during the closure, and shipping completed ones.
Many of you will receive your coins this week. Others won't have to wait too much longer.
As we continue to learn best practices under the rules set by the State of Colorado, you should expect some changes in our operations and service. These may result in some general delays. Also, sorry to our local dealers & collectors, but our lobby will remain closed for now.
Lastly, we want to thank our loyal customers and ANACS Insiders for all the support and good will you've sent our way. We intend to keep your trust and thank you for your patience.
Now let's go grade some coins!
Stay safe.
Sincerely,
Paul A. DeFelice Vice President Marketing and Client Relations ANACS www.anacs.com

Those of us who have been waiting for our coins since March, I hope the TPG'ers find it in their hearts to give us a point or two higher on our submissions due to our patience and inconvenience.
