Keep in mind, although MikeBrax hasn't even hinted at wanting to move these coins here at Coin Community - so he's not the intended reader of this post - he is ineligible to conduct commerce at Coin Community as a new member, and any attempt by a member to propose business with him will not be taken....kindly.

I just don't want him to get hosed--thats why I teach my daughter mint marks and values--its just good sense.

Yeah these are the ones he gave me I have been trying to look up prices but have found different prices on everysite I have looked at so some help would be appreciated

the CC's is worth more with the GSA PW and all-- they are worth alot- the Morgan experts will get on and fill you in with the rest.

So if the value according to numismedia.com of the Morgans was = to around 24-25oz of silver what do you think a dealer would trade? Do they treat it like a sale are they going to offer me retail for the silver and give me wholesale for the morgans? Sorry if I am not making sense still kinda new at this.

Your questions are legitimate. Keep in mind that in a trade, you are getting rid of something you don't want to get something you do want. The dealer prolly has other customers who don't want Morgans, but want ASE, so an even trade is actually of negative value to him, and also takes time. If you have retail Morgans = to 24-5 oz spot silver, 15 ASE would be fair, 20 would be generous. |

I think what some people (not me because I have no Eagles) are hinting at is to get educated and comfortable on this forum and consider the trading forum that exists on here. They require you be a little more experienced to prevent you from being ripped off. Any coin dealer will need to make a profit on you but a collector may be able to give you a better deal. Spend a little time learning what you have and most importantly what it is worth before you make a deal you will regret.

 If he is not rushed to get rid of them, this is wise advice. The other thing which you might want to consider is that there are Morgan collectors who collect the different VAMs - some of yours might be worth more b/c of this.
