I suppose with error coins you don't really have to worry about the grade of it. I agree with bigfred the QC makes these things pretty hard to acquire

My take on error coins is that anyone can get hold of a perfect version of any circulation coin, especially when you take into consideration the numbers minted. Some of the error coins could be one offs, although I do have multiples of many, I have some that I've only ever seen one of, so their worth to me is quite high. I know I probably would not get much for them, but hey, I don't plan on selling them. I'm actually culling them as I go through them and any that are too prolific are going back in the bucket, mostly 20c so far. Have a look at the Sold items in this ebay search, see for yourself if you can be bothered looking for them. http://www.ebay.com/csc/Coins-/1111...udlo=&_pgn=2

Quote: Plus it's hard for the Chinese to fake these type of error coins, has anyone ever seen a fake error coin No it's not, They can fake whichever coin they like. If the coin has a high enough value these sneaky little buggers will do it. I recon the first few coins will get through until collectors get wind of it. By then it will be too late the market will be "infected" with these fakes and sooner or later someone will resell one because they paid good money for it and want to pass on their mistake

Well yes Trout I have no doubt that eventually the chinese will try to fake the 2000 mule but I was more talking about mistrike type errors.
