A couple marks in the reverse field are noticeable and the cheek and neck have a few minor marks. I'd give it a strict MS-64 but attractive toning, strong luster, and normal variation at PCGS could reasonably boost it to MS-65. I wouldn't think it qualifies for P-L based on these photos. Nice, appealing Morgan dollar!

I'll be optimistic with 66. It may be lower due to all of the marks I'm seeing being located in the primary focal areas. I'm not sure where that line is drawn.

And the final answer is...... Sure thought it was a prooflike coin to, might even have warranted a star designation. Oh well I made out pretty good on it.

Hmmm...looked at least Semi PL to me. Maybe it was the photo but if it looks PL in hand I feel better about that guess. Gorgeous coin!

Beauty of a coin. If you care to share, how much did HA pay you for it? (Inquiring minds want to know)..

As I recall I invoiced it @ $525.00 There were a few other coins in the lot, so I might be off a little, but it was pretty close to that price. Silver was up at the time, and I imagine they were going to try for the PL upgrade.
Think I paid around $325.00 for it. We did some trading so it wasn't an all cash sale.
