Would have been cool if the 666666666 note was a devils face :)

I would first of all verify if these notes are real since they don't have watermarks.

Have them graded. The grading company will put them in a holder and it will also guarantee that they are genuine when it comes time to sell them.
From the picture they look like UNC or better which is very good and will command top dollar.

The bottom right on the $1 has a little green dot. The $5 has one bottom centre. Under magnification, they should be slightly raised. These "dots" were added to the paper mixture as a security feature.

I don't think you need to worry about authenticity of these notes. Everything looks fine to me. Quote: I would first of all verify if these notes are real since they don't have watermarks. There were no watermarks on Canadian notes, in 1954.

thank you gents for all the information!
there is a story. my grandfather, god bless him, just left us and passed these bills along to my father maybe 30 years ago. my father remembered he had them stored somewhere and recently went looking for them. my grandfather was assistant commissioner of the RCMP when he retired and my father remembers a story involving a contact at the bank/mint? not quite sure of exact details unfortunately.

Great looking notes. Too bad you didn't have the $2.00 with all 7 fives for a serial number.

You mean like this one ShaftA? It's currently on ebay... I doubt the seller will get their asking price. ($4,999)

Probability (I could be wrong as this is rushed calculation) is very rare: probably one in 1000000
