I'm glad to see that my offer was pretty fair, I'm not real big on error coins but I know that having the date visible makes off-center coins better. I also figured with a $15 offer that I could always go up to $20 if that might seal the deal. She probably thinks the coins are worth a small fortune. Oh well, it was worth a shot

I think I'm gonna come in here lower than the others. I probably would only have offered $10.
The foreign coins with glue, worthless. Avg circ steel cents, worthless. dateless buffalos, worthless unless they have a mintmark, then worth .60 a piece. 1927 buffalo maybe F-15, worth about $1 in reality. very modern off center Lincolns with no complete date, almost worthless, they aren't that rare or desired. 1977 jeff off-date, worth a tiny bit.
I don't see dollar signs here. The seller probably thought they were worth a few hundred.

Sellers with these type of coins always think they have 'valuable' coins when trying to sell them. I wouldn't have offered any more than $10.00 too.

Before reading everyone's replies I was thinking $20 , only because I like adding different nickels to my Jefferson collection.

I bet you have a very good offer but was turned down as the owner thought what they had was worth gold

I would have started at $10 and negotiated to a max of $15.

I'd go a firm 10. 2 each for the LMC Off Centers, 4 for the jefferson. Then the rest for cheap since there is next to no resale in them.

Quote: dateless buffalos, worthless unless they have a mintmark, then worth .60 a piece I can get partial date, last two digits, Buffalo nickels for 15 cents each with or without mintmarks. Not knowing the date why would anyone pay more than a quarter for a mintmarked dateless Buffalo nickel. Ed ANA LM-3175

Not knowing the date why would anyone pay more than a quarter for a mintmarked dateless Buffalo nickel. That is the going rate for a dateless mintmarked buffalo. They have a slight premium for those who restore Buffalo nickels because of the possibility of getting a key date. I believe that you can get a partial for .15, but it won't be a good one. It'll either be P-minted, or if it is mintmarked, it'll be something like 1935-D. You won't be able to buy a mintmarked coin from the teens for .15, but you'll get a bunch of those in a dateless lot. What value someone assigns to any particular restored Buffalo nickel depends on the person and the method and degree to which it was restored, as there is no price guide.

20 bucks max. She obviously has some ridiculous idea in her head that they are worth hundreds each.
