The pics are really hard to tell, but it looks real, may have been buried at one point.

Should have been certified though, before I would have bid on it.

Yeah my thoughts to how much did Asyn pay? One wonders how he gets all the coin he does? Was an unsuspecting individual taken advantage of. I'm with Glenzy though I would want it certified before I bid. So despite the fcat most coins are typically raw from Asyn why not send this one in as the return you would get is quite a bit higher as you would appeal to a much larger market. That is why I think things are fishy. Asyn has a business why not maximize youre return by getting the coin slabbed. Just my 2 cents.

because he still makes GOOD money and does no extra work. Why would he bother sending to ICCS, paying, waiting and then having to sell that EXACT grade it was given? Looking at the photos....thats not an F15...

Because he would have many more people intrested in the coin if they knew it was real. Which in turn would bring prices up and need him a much higher return. If it wouldn't give a higher return I agree RoyalSilver but I think he would get alot more profit this way if it was indeed real.

Well, if @nickelsguy says it's fake that's good enough for me to leave it alone. My sympathy to the winner if the auction doesn't get pulled first.

@john517 or there was enough doubt that the seller did the responsible thing and pulled the listing. Hope they do get it graded and it comes back on the market if it does turn out to be legit after all.

I am glad to see the auction cancelled, with a coin this rare, less than 400 made it to circulation, and knowing that it has been counterfeited before. any dealer should have it graded if only to remove any doubt.

The coin in question is a fake made in Lebanon circa 1969

Looks like I just missed the listing. Does anyone have the pictures, or pictures of the said Lebanon fakes?
