I too had good dealings with them several years ago, they are one of the biggest Advertisers in Coin World

Never bought from them, but the things I've heard weren't good so I stayed away. Lots of stuff sold as BU that were cleaned/dipped coins.

I've never purchased from Coast to Coast but I do recall when they lost their authorization to display the ANA logo. I think the issues had to do with unanswered customer complaints and delays in issuing refunds. That was years ago and maybe they've cleaned up their act. If they can reassure you that their refund policy is solid, maybe it would be OK to buy some low-cost items and see how you like them.
I remember a coin dealer telling me that large-scale operations like Coast to Coast and Paul Sims can afford to sell 10 coins and have 9 of them get returned. If only 1 out of 10 sales actually "sticks" with a customer, they can still make a profit. That is probably an exaggeration, but I would only consider these dealers if I were purchasing generic coins like Silver eagles. Just my opinion!

I've seen this same question on many other coin forums. Sure wonder if it is from the same person all the time. If so probably more of an advertisement of that company than a question. From what I've read it sounds like that place charges for advertising.

To answer your question. No, I have never seen this question asked before either here or other forums. As for me, I am interested in purchasing an unciculated 1883-S Morgan dollar. I wanted to know if the grade were accurate, if they sold problem coins and if I purchased the coin in question, would it slab with NGC or PCGS? If you know something about this company, as I don't, I would appreciate any information or experience you have had. Thanks, Oz

If you don't want cleaned or problem coins and don't want to play roulette with getting something in the mail from them, I'd forget about 'em.

Just a few minutes ago I was looking through a mailing they sent me. I get one or two a month.

Over the past year or so I have purchased dimes, quarters, and half dollars from them, as well as a couple bank notes. The products were exactly as advertised.

Possibly the prices are a little high, but I have been very satisfied, and will continue to buy from them as my meager budget allows.

Gary, would you be able to sate our curiosity and provide scans/photos along with how the coin was described/graded which came from them? I'm guessing that it is conceivable they have original, problem-free coins, but anything non-generic is going to be extremely suspect.

I have bought a few things from Coast to Coast, and I would say that I have been pleased with them. I think everything I have received has been exactly as described. I believe they also offer a return guarantee, although I have never had to use it.

I have a 1908-S Indian head I bought from them a few years ago. If I get to it this weekend I'll take a photo and post it in the grading section if you want?

Before everyone joins on the wagon to give them hugs and kisses, you might want to check out this thread: http://64.94.212.253/messageview.cf...yword1=Coast

Do more searches on the PCGS forum and you'll find a lot more information.

I have no complaints with the several purchases I've made from them. I guess I'm not sophisticated enough to know if a coin advertised as "gem" bu is really a "choice" bu. That, plus the price point I buy at doesn't permit me to get hurt too bad. I didn't even know there was an issue until I read this thread. I guess I'll be more skeptical, but will still buy selectively from them sinced I trust them alot more than just buying from unknown sources on ebay.
