I'm curious if anyone thinks this is a pocket piece.

You think so? The wear makes it seem to me that this was a strong strike to start with and has worn consistent to what F12 would be...? I could maybe accept F15 or VF20 but 25 seems off? Are my grading standards not consistent with the industry. Personally I stick yo Seated quarters so maybe I've got this wrong.

I wouldnt be surpised to see F 12 to vf 20. I dont think theres quite enough to get the 25 though. The Half Dimes are weird theyre so small they seem to have more detail in lower grades than other Seated coins.

Id go VF though with that eye appeal, its a very nice looking coin.

I doubt anyones doing that with Half Dimes. Theyre miniscule youd lose them all the time. Plus theres no reason to do it with a nice looking coin like that.

I might have been generous even though New Orleans was pretty bad at striking these up. I thought it looked better than Fine but on second thought F15 or maybe 20 is more like it.

I'd have to see it to be sure. I don't think it can go as high as VF20 because (beyond the wear on the head and drapery there seems to be a little wear into the L of Liberty). F15.

Thanks for the grades. I was leaning between F15 & VF20, but I think I am going to mark it down as F15.

I do like the eye appeal of this one and am hoping to have similar looking coins for the set.
