Thanks for the keen replies...greatly appreciated. The above pics are in a harsh and very bright sun ..but...

The below pics are what you might see from a normal view in hand...and shooting through 2 sheets of ICCS plastic. It will be off to PCGS...and I'm counting on a "Red" on the slab..

This is an older ICCS holder.... I'm hoping that PCGS does as well or better...but not right away...

Thanks for your opinions..

How can you tell older vs. newer holders? I'm trying to learn (I have some, and not sure what they are).

Old holders have an embossed seal on the certificate, which will generally show in photos.

Thanks, EVR! Mine are new then.

Also, when exactly did new holders replaced older ones? I guess in terms of eyes, that would mean a transition form father to son, eh? (Sorry for hijacking the thread, DEVLEC ).

If that doesn't get red, I don't know what would.

Returning to the topic, PCGS MS-65/Red, IMHO.

Red, on a photograph anyway, however does depend on the angle and lighting used. You don't need to Photoshop to remove ugly and fairly large patches of spit spots (recently learned lesson ; Caveat emptor).

No photoshop on this 08. It really is a blazer .. One fine dot showing in the field near the A of Imperator.
Thanks again...

Of course on that second paragraph I was not talking about this particular coin (this one seems like a fine coin). That was just a general observation and warning for newbs like myself.

osmiumblue: This is what an older ICCS holder looks like.

Wow, thanks for the photo, Bob. In fact I was imagining something in line with the CCCS clear embossed logo on the plastic flip itself, so this is really helpful. Thank you!

All of my ICCS coins presently have this model of embossed holder..all from the 90's..as is this 08..

This 52 nickel holder just shows the ICCS embossing better.. A little bit different from the above one.

Thanks for taking the time to comment here...
