The 1921 is a high relief coin, completely full strikes are uncommon. This one I would call an above average strike.

Quote: I'm going to say NGC went MS62 because its NGC Ha! I sent it in to NGC thinking it was a 63.. That's all I'll say right now other than they seem to be all over the map on these. Maybe too many graders and not enough 1921 Peace dollars to go around..

It looks like an AU-58 to me...

Knowing the way NGC works it could be anywhere from AU 55 to MS-62.

I agree that it's an above average strike. My gut says MS-64.

Hard to tell on the Peace dollars.... I feel like that hit on the obverse might make it AU.... I think there is luster throughout though so it doesn't seem to be circulated. I'm going to say either AU55 or MS62, with it leaning toward MS. Nice year to have either way!

Your photos make this difficult .. and all 1921 Peace are difficult to grade in hand to begin with ... so I suppose double difficult. I say a very nice coin and for sure MS ... NGC MS63. David

I'll say 63. Above average strike for the year. Not sure how much they give credit for the strike given that I have seen 21s at MS65 with the worst strike you could imagine. Is the spotting carbon spots? Anyone know if the graders consider those?

Well, I think it's a solid MS64, possible 64+.
