I have it at AU-50, limited slightly by the color. I'd expect them to want to see a bit more luster for a higher AU, even though the technical detail might warrant AU53. For the record, steer clear of me for a while. I'm contemplating mugging you for this coin.  It's as close to my definition of "the perfect SLQ" as it gets. |

Cannot wait to see the grade. IMHO, Buffalo nickels are THE worst to grade. There is, truly, different grading standards within the series, AND year to year. SLQ's - probably the next toughest series to grade. |

Everyone who guessed XF-45 got it right. I was leaning towards AU but I'm biased. I think they want a little more luster on an AU coin. But I love it just the same. I'd post pictures but I'm sitting in a hospital bed waiting to have my Gaul bladder removed this evening. So once this is all done I'll get some good pictures.
