KF RPD-003 It appears, and a nice re-punched date example, with very nice surfaces. Is the reverse D a partial or no serif on United?

I'm at a solid EF45 grade with designs on an AU53/55 from a TPG on a really good day.

What do you think of this variety overall?
Easy question to answer for me - all Two Cent Piece varieties are interesting, this one is one of the more dramatic RPDs in the series.

I picked up one like this also only your's is a lot nicer, mine is maybe a VF30.

Yes, the upper serif of the D is missing.

Then it can't be the KF RPD-003, so it must be, the KF RPD-002, which is just a bit tougher than the the KF RPD-003 to find!

Also cross referenced to KF-F2-TPD and Breen 2382

Triple punched date?

Yep and a pretty nice one at that!

I had to cross Breen 2382 to FS-002.5 which is currently FS-1301

Nice coin! I love these! I have one, not as nice as this one and not a double die. Someone wrote on the milar flap (curved S) and I haven't seen any info on this yet. Anyone know anything. I can post a pic if needed.
Pretty cool that yours is a dd! Makes it a great coin to have!

westcoin would be the SME (subject matter expert) for Two Cent Pieces, although I have not heard of the "curved s".

"Fancy" and "Plain" 5 is a different story.

I'll do that, now. In classic coins. Gotta play with the size of the pics. Thanks

I would think the "Curved S" meant Fancy 5 the S probably looks like a 5 in the hand writing, and besides aren't all S's curved?
