Oh, by the way, both are VERY nice LC's. I'd be happy with either but I like the bottom one best.

The NGC version does have a more emphasized over date 1/0, which caught my eye along with the fully separated ear outline. The strong rims grabbed my attention on the PCGS version. It's not quite the customary 24 hours, but here are the slabs; Kinda surprising huh?

Wow PCGS is grading right in in-line with EAC standards it seems! Both are so nice though. At least I nailed on of the two dead on.

Wow that is shocking. I was 10 points high on one, and 10 points low on the other. I take it that you bought the PCGS one?

I am going to send this rascal and a few others for the reholder (new scratch resistant holder) special and TrueView.
One of my collector friends brought up PCGS Reconsideration Service to see if it would gain a grade to F-12 or greater.

One downfall of reconsideration is they wont crack it if it doesn't up grade. If you did the regard service though you could combine the trueview with it.
For the reholder they told me theyll actually let you switch it over to secure plus for 10 bucks which comes with the image instead of doing the 5 for the reholder and 10 for the trueview.

I wonder if it would pass the "sniff test" with Secure Plus?

As long as someone didnt putty the surface it should be fine for that. Thats actually what the picture of my 1812 was from. I noticed it pop up in my registry set even though it hasnt been shipped yet

I was not suspecting that... they both look VF-20 to me.

I'm not surprised by the VG10 grade, the coin has semi-rough surfaces and visible nicks and holes. I am surprised by the VF25 grade, that coin has nice surfaces but is surely lacking for a VF25...tops 20.
