I'm mightily impressed by all these specimens, particularly the non-British ones.

However, I've never seen them listed for sale.

What is a reasonable price to pay for them ?

Prices vary extremely from issue to issue just like genuine coins. The British ones I collect are however in most cases cheaper than the genuine coins.

Necro bump? Okay I'll bite:

France 10 centimes, "1810 A"

This is much better than most contemporary fake 10 centimes of the era. Trouble is, Paris (mintmark A) didn't make 10 centime coins in 1810 (save possibly for 1-5 assay pieces; I have found conflicting reports).

I'll make a contribution...and will be quick to add that counterfeits are not an intentional part of my collection, but I was missing this date in my OFEY series, and it's a place that I collect. I posted it preiously on another thread.

This is a struck copper fake of a 1689 silver Patagon of Spanish Netherlands. It would have been plated/washed in silver.
As this was a massive (40 mm) hammered coin, the real ones often suffer from uneven strikes, so this would have been a really handsome specimen.
There is a "tell." I'm sure everyone figured it out, but here goes: The legend reverse says Brabant (BRAB at 9:00), but the mintmark above the crown obverse is a fleur-de-lis, the mint mark of Bruges, which is not in Brabant.
