If this roll were legit, the ink/writing would barely be legible & the paper nearly be dust, would be massive toning visible - all dead giveaways here.

Quote: I would like to REALLY know the condition of the other coins in the roll. If you REALLY want to know all you have to do is buy them and open them. Quote: How can he list multiple mints in the description if he can only see one obverse? Because of this Quote: and could contain any number of 1800's era coins. He is saying they could contain anything so they could have any of these mintmarks.

Keep it up edweather. I enjoy eating my popcorn and watching the clown circus.
Time's running out and it hasn't made reserve. Shill bidders to the rescue! Just like the clown firemen at a real circus!
Reserve should be somewhere around $400 for 2 unc commons and 18 culls. A real cc would help. The wrapper is not enough.

I think the shill in this case is 9***C (46 yellow star).
He has placed the last two bids. His last bid is most likely a few dollars below the reserve.
They are trying to set the hook but the fish hasn't bit yet.
Maybe people are getting smarter about this crap. (I doubt it!)

I'm surprised he not saying, "There could even be a 1895-P uncirculated in these rolls."

His ebay name alone is a reason to avoid.

If you look at the seller's completed sales, two of these Morgan bank rolls have sold since 11/2 for fabulous amounts. Yet the seller's feedback history doesn't show any Morgan bank rolls at all. The feedback is for rolls of halves, quarters, Ikes and modern Presidential dollars.

If you check his feedback, he seems to be doing quite well selling 10 rolls of common half dollars for $11.99 and more plus shipping!
Do those buyers not have banks where they live?

Morgans did not come in rolls. They came in bags, which is why the small scuffs on them are referred to as "bag marks" or people say the coin is kind of "baggy".

I purchased an "original" roll of Morgans a while back for $1200. The dealer was honest about what they were and they were labeled "Williams Silver Dollars, August 1956." The dealer said he bought them off Williams son, who believes they are a roll of 1881-S Morgans and I believe that is correct from the end coins, which are only lightly toned around the rims.

I smell a rat...the runner up has 43% of his bids with this seller, and the winner has 17%. Something tells me no money will be taking place now that this auction has ended.

I agree that they are shilling and trying to get a big fish to pony up. Shills rarely leave feedback for each other. I'm surprised that ebay doesn't get involved more. Especially when the high dollar transactions frequently get cancelled and fees are refunded. That has to raise a big red flag.

The absence of feedback on the Morgan rolls is a pretty strong indicator. It looks like the same roll has been "sold" multiple times.
The feedback for the other sales is also interesting. Very rarely does a buyer find a 40% or 90% silver half in their old bank roll searches. They don't downvote - they took a chance and had some fun - and the seller doesn't ever send them a bonanza roll.
I'm familiar with tourist gem mines that work on a similar principle.
