Maybe, just maybe the coin looks better than the picture.
If not, that's one dog of an ms60.

Tripoli...you're right, I replied too quickly thinking Shafta9a's post "ICCS graded it MS-60" was in fact the OP.

The good the bad and the ugly. Here is the bad and ugly. I sent some coins to ICCS a while ago and had room for one more coin so I included this coin to see how ICCS would see it. It came back with the grading I thought it may and should have received. The only grading mistake I see is it should have said cleaning "one side only". I've had this coin for many years and don't remember how I got it or what I paid. I only have a couple of problem coins in my collection and usually don't keep them and just sell them. So I'm sure I will be putting this coin on ebay in the near future and sell it as graded. How much do you think I could get on ebay for this coin? Thanks for your opinions.

There was a 47 Maple Leaf Cleaned on ebay that recently went for $295.00 CDN so I guess somewhere in that range.

That is the kind of coin that I start at 99 cents on ebay, no reserve... and just let it go...

Trying to understand ICCS here - so do they both net grade _and_ details grade a coin? Just asking because without the cleaning I don't see that it technically would be MS60, as far as bag marks etc. 47ML dollar might be my favorite coin. It's like the second son always in the shadow of the big brother.

You must remember, that the photo is taken through 2 layers of plastic.

And here in lies the consistency problem with ICCS grading damaged coins. You never know if the coin was tech graded, net graded or both. I much prefer to see coins graded this way (technical grade and a comment) than having an opinion grade pulled out of thin air. I've seen these types of coins go both ways. It's one of the main reasons why the two US TPGs don't numerically grade problem coins.

So many of my choice pieces showing here in the past have been shot through 2 ICCS plastic sheets. Almost impossible to get them properly showing here.
To truly appreciate and see the coin(including this one),..you have to have it in hand,.. and tilt it back and forth in a bright white light.

Correct me if I'm wrong but MS is Mintstate yes? so imperfections not attributed transport from Mint would take a coin out of "Mintstate" Quote: if its on the internet it must be true
