That rim ding isn't much of a detraction imo. That is a great looking mid grade circulated example.

VF-XF silver coins are my favorite.

Excellent amount of detail still on the coin. You had a good eye for that one.

I agree with the other, that rim bump would not bother me.
I mit use it to work the buying price down ...

But it will look great in a album

It's patina in normal light is actually a bit darker than the picture. It looks nice in the Dansco GR58...and jdiablo30 you are right, the Dansco hides the rim bump a bit.

You are right in your earlier post westernsky, they are near as rare as hens' teeth and the RedBook nor graysheet accurately reflect their prices.
The Seated Liberty halves will be most difficult set I have ever encountered.

The 1879-1890 very low mintage rates, the incredible scarcity of the 1874 CC, 1878 S and CC halves plus the massive (and not well-documented) melting of many of the freshly minted Half Dollars make this a difficult series to collect.

It's either gonna be a lot of fun or drive me crazy, Moe. Definitely a long term project. I'd estimate 5-10 years for a nicely done date set, IMHO.

Judging from your incredible collection I've seen so far, you'll get there. And, I have no doubt, in a wonderfully impressive manner!

I am sad the bust thread is ending. It has been quite a thread and quite a ride.

Thanks for the complement, btw.
