ace: I think the sheets you're thinking of are the 40 note sheets.... they did put out smaller sheets as well.. I know there were smaller sheets of four notes for the $1 notes... cut in both directions ones like the picture above as well as four $1 notes in one straight column. I have never seen smaller sheets of $2 notes cut into 3's before but that's not to say it didn't happen. You could be right though lots of people have cut them out of sheets and sold them before.

cut them diagonally and claim as "errors" ;)
just kidding, but I wonder if that would work to increase the value?
Nice looking notes however, I'd frame them and hang them up somewhere

When I saw that sheet of $5's I was so elated... when I saw their asking price I was so deflated...dang! Going to have to save my pennies!

I have an uncut sheet of 40 1973 $1.00 that I had framed around 1990. prefix BFD crow/bouey has having them framed reduced the value.(?) could anyone supply me with a rough estimate on value.(?) thanks in advance

Going by the serial numbers I would say these are cut from sheets of 40. The average sale price for a sheet of 40 x $1 is around 170.00 CDN plus shipping.

Usually when these sheets are framed and displayed one side ends up fading a bit over the other....
I bought these sheets in the past because I thought they were cool and I think banknotes are like pieces of art so I have my $1 and $2 framed and up in my folks rec room

having this done seemed a good idea at the time if memory serves the framing cost as much if not more than the bills themselves still I wished I had more !!

Looks good to me Torgemco! Now you just gotta find a place to put it.. so it can be appreciated...

There is such a limited market for these sheets of banknotes. Plus they are hard to store. I do have some 1973 $1's, that are a sheet of 2 notes. I have taken them to shows where I have a table and they are a tough to sell, there is not much interest and I certainly wouldn't get the TPG, how would you store them then?

I agree, re: storing them. The framed piece Torgemco showed is beautiful, but not something I would put in a basement which is typically the most damp level of any house (unless your my neighbour who refuses to replace his roof, in which case every floor would be damp). Once the paper is exposed to dampness/moisture/humidity, your better off cutting the bills with scissors and spending them at face.
