Thank You Ken for the reference on the video, and information. That was cool! I am still going to download photo of edge and rim, as whoever made this did one heck of a job. Just want second and third opinions. Never know, some employee may have done this un purpose for a joke. One side definitely has a different rim appearance, but it is so slight. Photos to come.

Note on this one how the coins were put together:

Note the rim on the rim of the reverse?

This is what they look like before they put them together:

Sometimes they are altered with reducing the two coin by making them thinner:

At least they used the same date and mint mark. Looks real phoney when they don't.

I guess the advantage of having different years/MM is instead of playing heads or tails you can play P or D once someone realizes it's a doubled headed coin

Thanks to all, the best part of this find is that my friend started looking at her coins after I told her what I do with coins and she found the double headed nickel....now she may be hooked on coins, which I think is great! Thanks all for your advice. I looked in the photography sections for how to tweek my Iphone, could not find it...will keep looking.

Maybe one of these would help? I got one from Lighthouse but have not had the occasion to try it yet. I saw a guy at a show with one set up to shoot a Mintmark. Seemed Ok for that. At 60x it has its limitations. I got it on special for $10.

I've been meaning to get one ken! I wonder if they still have the $10 special? Let us know how you like it, I think it could be handy for VAM shots
