Probably spit out of an ATM close by.
If my ATM was spitting out low numbers like that I'd stand there all day maxing out withdrawals on every debit and credit card I had!
Very kool find!

Haha yeah.. I'm probably going to toss it up on ebay and see what it goes for. I've gotten 80+ for similar numbered $1s, but I have no idea what a $20 is going to go for. Luckily I get to fill our atm so some days I get to look through $10k or more of paper money, looking for nice serials.

Wow! That is amazing. That is a definite keeper. Might be worth sending it to pcgs.

You think so? I know it's good and in almost uncirculated condition but would sending it into PCGS increase the value that much?

I think so. Keep it protected and it makes it more valuable.

I will look into it then. Right now it is in a plastic sleeve to keep it safe, in a check box with my other bills so it's good for now.

You bet that was worth pulling out! Serial Numbers on currency always open up unique collecting options that you don't have with coins. Low serial numbers are a big one. So are mismatched digits and RADAR notes. I personally know of a case of a dog earned $1 Silver Certificate (that was probably one of the common 1935 series) selling for $300 that had all sevens across in the serial number. This was at an auction in a small rural town in the 1980s. Imagine what that kind of note would bring today ---.

Oh yeah, I always check the serials of bills at work. Found a bunch of good ones... L 0000 0304 *, E 0000 0030 I, L 0000 0077 T, and more recently a binary L 0001 1110 T and H 69996669 D (rotational symmetry). I've just never found a $20, they've all been ones so far. And this one is by FAR in the best condition.
