I thought the same. I went and scoured the auction archives for MS63/64 online and found a few with questionable strikes. My gut is this is an MS63. I am sending it in for what I hope will be a righteous outcome in a slab.

CoinHuntingDrew,

I hope the CCF mod-dudes hesitate before pulling my comments here for another separate thread but instead possibly consider a modification of it as an essential recurring inclusion for 'all' CCF threads suitable for the worthwhile pursuit of the longevity of our mutual beloved coin collecting hobby/pastime.

I noticed you're 16 years young per your electronic signature at the bottom of your post.

I wanted to know what specific factor peaked and ultimately SUSTAINED your continual participation in coin collecting in light of fact that you are not yet an old geezer that a greater majority of our coin collecting aficionados happen to be.

In my local coin club we have a serious lack of these indispensable 'youngins' (less than 18 years old) attending our monthly meetings and even our quarterly shows; sometimes the 'youngins' may not appear for multiple months at a time which is so very disappointing.

As an exemplative question it would be so very applicable for coin collecting in general that for a period of no less than 30 days only, for example, that all CCF members less than 18 years old simply express their opinions as to what specific ingredient (individual, experience and/or influence) served to trigger their interest and more importantly what preserved this ambition to keep hunting for and studying coins etc.

This inquiry ideally needs to be delegated only to members less than 18 years old since the technology and the overall environment have evolved into something significantly different compared to 20+ years ago.

Maybe, as a trial balloon, Bobby could set up some suitable verbiage that would auto-populate each 'Reply to Topic' on 'all' threads directed to youngins only for 30 days which would be quick and sufficient enough for the mod-dudes to organize this data for a subsequent dispersal to all CCF members to circulate to their respective clubs and outlets.

This wording in each thread should be brief and to-the-point with a succinct explanation as to the stated objectives with a request that the respondents limit their answers to just a couple of sentences so as not to detract from the main theme of each thread etc.,

I personally do not think that a sticky thread would collect this type of information in the most effective manner in which the aforementioned technique would since most youngins would typically not be searching for this type of subject matter.

In summary, CoinHuntingDrew, please do not forget to write down here your personal reasons for beginning and sticking with coin collecting since you could be the very first participant in this proposed study depending upon what CCF eventually adopts as the best strategy to implement.

IMHO,
mdpmedia
