Photos seem too dark to grade from. Can you post some with better lighting?

At least 58 BN, but agree brighter pics would help. Very attractive.

Beautiful LC! TPG grade, either MS64 or MS65. Photos are fine.

If it's not a 58, then it must be 65BN.

Love it!

High AU to low MS, but leaning towards AU. There does appear to be some friction in the reverse fields and on the wreath high points. The stars look sharply struck which is not often the case for braided hair large cents. BN color, upright 5's type.

There are no problems I can see that would preclude a straight grade. However, the very dark tone is a bit of a negative IMO. If I were shopping for a similar piece I would try to find one with a lighter overall color.

1855 upright 5's. strong strike, AU55/58. my first impression was that the coin may have been recolored but without it in hand or sharper photos I cant say for sure.

AU55BN. Wear on hair above brow, top of bun and neck curl, and tip of nose. Decent strike. Very fine scratch on neck.

Overall a very nice coin!

I bought this as an AU expected an AU straight grade. Admittedly I know more about silver than I do coppers. In hand it really does not show signs of wear...but it also doesn't show signs of cleaning to my eye....nice and chocolate color. But she's a keeper regardless

What are the tiny red and blue dots in the picture?

I disagree and agree with the details grade. Maybe they thought the contact marks on the cheek were old cleaning contact marks. I don't know.

Very nice looking coin.

I was very curious what the grade was.

I have a 1856 at ANACS, that I am waiting for results.

It would be interesting to know what they were seeing,
to get the "cleaned" on the label.

I wonder if the grader felt the color may be the
result of a past cleaning.
