Well, it sounds as if people are getting fed up with it and members are "decreasing" and moving to other forums. Might as well just end it before anymore conflict gets caused.

Just my opinion as a user and not a staff member...

I see the problem as there being multiple fake threads with the same or similar comments (not topic posts). Those comments keep the fake threads bumped to the top. I have no problem with the multiple threads (since combining into one thread creates a search problem) and I think locking them solves the bump problem.

Exactly what I've been trying to say for two weeks, but I must speak a different language.

So, they can still be posted as long as they are locked... Makes sense to me.

Drew, there is going to come a time in your life when you will remember this thread and realize that, maybe, just maybe, you should have spoken a little better and not gotten so put off by the fact that there were those that just said enough is enough.

It's called a maturation process and I truly believe you'll get there. You're wanting to bring light to this subject is admirable, but your approach is not.

I sincerely hope you continue your pursuit of ridding ebay of the counterfeits except that you should be going to the source of the trouble. That isn't CCF.

Bobby has been so gracious in doing what he does, we're very lucky to have him on this front. What you should be doing is contacting ebay, every day, all day, always. That is where your battle is. Not here, certainly not with Bobby or anyone else on this forum.

I hope you stick to your guns and stay on top of ebay with regards to this issue. It IS important. But that is not all this forum is about. Bobby has provided you with a solution, hopefully you'll adhere to it or let it die here and now.

Please keep your passion moving forward in this hobby. I believe you have a lot to offer, we're all just hoping it's directed appropriately.

Bobby, thanks for all you do. It is SO appreciated...

Bobby... I am sure you wouldn't appreciate me getting into a political rant but you said about people getting shot because someone wants to get high... well referring to soft drugs like cannabis I have never heard of such an occurrence. I am sure violence is far more likely to be linked to alcohol than pot heads who are more likely to fall asleep than hit anyone. And like I say Heroin users etc are SICK, they cause harm to themselves and others but criminalising them has no deterrent value since they are even willing to die for their addiction. (I would also claim it is silly to suggest any link between the two... if you are curious enough to try heroin you will have tried softer things like beer, cigarettes and pot first but they are not the cause of you taking heroin)

We might differ on that topic, but we do agree on the main one... counterfeits are harmful to the collecting community in general and anyone who gets stung by them.

Also though your life isn't made easy by some members you must have seen the vast majority do appreciate what you have been doing. I for one support your efforts.

I was just bring up the similarities of the effort guys. Not to get in a debate over drug use but as for hard drugs especially heroine and meth. Yes, addiction of hard drugs is a disease and sickness but if ypu think that addicts don't steal and kill that's a joke. They do, they steal ANYTHING they can get quick cash for or trade to their dealer. Killings happen all the time by gangs and dealers. Yes, most "internal" but alot arent. Just look at that New Mexico drug dealer that was probably high himself when he shot that little girl because her dad cut him off driving. Hard drugs are a scourge on every economic and civil level period!

Did I miss something?

There's good and bad in everything. And then there's ugly. Let's not get ugly since coins are beautiful!
