Not good at grading but is it a MAD or off center planchet? If so does that change the desirability for a set, and value?

It does look like a minor MAD, but that usually wouldn't add a premium since the devices don't hang over the rim. I don't know if that would still be the case on such a rare date, though.

I hate having an open hole in an album. Its like my child is missing a shoe. Id have to break it out also as I would never sell it. That's the reason I never slabbed my 09S VDB. It just belonged in the album with all the others

..with panzaldi..I hate having a slabbed coin in my set too so, I broke my 1914D Lincoln ANACS out and put it in my album.

The OP's coin is a great looking 16D which I'm missing at the moment.

Very nice and conservatively graded G4. It's a 5 in my book any day.

Yes...I would also guessed G-6 Nice pickup and I do the same thing.

Crack them out for the holes in the albums. Have a few AG key dates I would like to upgrade someday.

I can't believe I was that far off. Oh well I guess It's better to over grade then to under grade.

Look at it this way...once you crack it out its no longer graded G4. You can grade it G6
