Nice find if so! I haven't compared it nor have I looked at that DDO in a while but if I remember correct I think it would approximately double the value of your '09 VDB...I could be wrong but for some reason I remember about that price range maybe a little more than double actually, see what others say... |

I plan on getting a nicer example for my type set at some point, so this one may end up getting sold eventually. Breen has really paid off already- this, and I also discovered that my 1892 Barber quarter is the less common of two reverse varieties. |

Whoa! What a find! I wouldn't have thought to look for a DDO in a VDB, but it shows that any die is susceptible to a doubling. |

Read an article on this coin not too long ago and was just trying to find it for you when I stumbled on the PCGS website page on this where they state there are only about 500 or so of these DDO's around in all grades-now I don't know about all that but it is PCGS? |

Oh, a bit less common than I expected. It's listed as 2053 in Breen, here's what the entry says:
1909 V.D.B Doubled obv. die. Presently very rare. 3 vars. Wexler {1984}. Doubling is plainest on date and LIBERTY. Discovered by Everett Zuidmeer. NNW 6/3/78.
I'm sure it isn't valuable enough to consider slabbing, but I'm open to your opinions. I'm thinking it's in the range of VG-10, but do you think it could make F-12?

Wow! Awesome Find! I will have to check mine. I didn't know there was a DDO for this coin. Learn something new every day. On this forum sometimes 10 or more things. |

This book is really paying off. It's full of information, and I've just been going through some of my collection checking for varieties. My parents found it on ebay for about $100 and got it for me for Christmas. |
