I have 3 I am working slowly on filling. A tiny one for a few gold pieces I have: A larger one for all my 2 oz. Provident rounds (Privateers, Cleopatra and Landmark Series) And the third one I can't get a picture of right now as the other half is sleeping but it is much larger and for 1 oz. world bullion coins. I will try to remember to snap a pic of it tomorrow.

Neat idea GR58. A treasure chest is probably something I might attempt in the future, in addition to coins and rounds I'd probably add some bars of varying size to mine.

I do like the treasure chest idea. fill it up with elephants, pandas, rounds, maples, etc.
but I think you fill it with these type coins when they are sold "as is" such as with milk spots already, toning, etc.

that looks pretty good.
I think if I did I would get a chest where I can easily pick it up with two hands but still make a project of how long it would take.
I think a good pirate chest, with taking some artistic liberties would including a mix of gold, silver, rounds, modern bullion, some bars, and different size coins, to give the loot some "texture" in the chest. Throw in a fair mix of toned/milk spotted coins".

Very cool chest Cascade ... Thanks for posting that. I like all the different types of silver.
It gave me some ideas. Now I am kicking myself. A 5oz. Silver skull came in a few weeks ago, and I did not think about getting it. That won't happen again.

I was doing this for my son (only 15 months old now) when he gets older! I don't have pictures at the moment, but I was just filling it with some random coins of all denominations. I think it would be a good idea to make it all junk silver. That shouldn't be too hard to do in 5+ years! My chest I got down in Gulf shores. :D Great idea though!

I saw Michaels the craft shop has some reasonable sized chests, that I could stain/distress paint. I want something that I can pick up with both hands and not have a hard time hauling but not itty bitty either.

Cascade, those bars are quite creative. Very cool! Done by you?

No, most of the odd ones were poured by a couple that has a business doing that. They're usually at the long beach expo but weren't there last week. Their company name is MK or something like that. He got a little more silver for it that I've been meaning to take pictures of for this thread that I'll do in a few and I'll also get a pic of the stamp on the reverse of the bars and maybe you can find em online
