Neck and cheek are kinda scruffy. I'm at 64. Still, a very nice coin with surprisingly clean fields.

I'm in the 64 PL camp. That is a beauty. Congratulations.

Thanks for the grades. This one's an NGC/CAC MS67 and shows how hard it is to grade high end pieces from images. The cheek has scuffs in the virgin frost only. It is currently available for sale at Great Collections. http://www.greatcollections.com/Coi...-Certificate

It's nice, but it is not MS67 nice (in my opinion). Whomever buys it better not bust it out of the holder or try for a crossover.

If that makes 67 I should send every one of my 65's in to the same grader...wow.
I can see 66 for this coin, fields are SO pretty and clean, but 67 is rare air for Morgans.

I'm sure someone will eventually purchase the no guarantee opinion grade sticker.

I chimed in a bit late on this but was going to say MS-66 or higher. Certainly one of the nicest Morgan dollars I have seen. Not sure why anyone would say 64. I can understand the 65 opinions since there is some break in the frosting but we need to consider that the fields are absolutely pristine and other than a bit of luster break there are no apparent marks. Note this coin has a Green Bean so CAC seems to agree with the MS-67.

I saw the reverse as the limit on this coin. There is a lot of bag rub on the eagle's breast and talons. Not a 67 coin in my opinion but frosted devices can make it really difficult to grade a coin from photos.
