I enjoyed the collectable MAD coins NEO! Great images. I may add them to my files.

Glad you enjoyed them. I would be honored to have some of my images in your archive. If it would help I could send you the unedited files.

I know of one that was peeled off a coin and he got big bucks for it after it was graded.

Looks like this one had peel 1/3 off when he got it. Then helped the other 1/3 to come off and then slabbed them.

I had mine for years as a plain lam and decided to photograph it . After taking a bunch of pics I was putting it back in the flip when I heard a pop and at first actually thought I had ruined one of my favorite lams !

This is a example of Grease Mold Doubling. 1996 had been the missing year in the run from 1995 - 1999 but this is the coin that filled in the slot.

Just one more . A Broadstruck 1988 that was struck with nicely clashed obv. and rev. dies. It was cleaned before I picked it for the clash.

This is my coolest find so far. This guy was diagnosed as lamination (de-lamination) not sure if there is a difference.

Most of what I find are just the sections for laminations, so when I saw this I wasn't even sure what had happened to it. Best thing about it was I found it in change about a month ago. I have a thread here on the forum with some cool close-ups if you what to look at them. Thanks

TypeCoin, you may already realize it but I feel you have much more than a normal laminated Indian here. Note the weakly struck area on the obverse and the corresponding area of excessive circulation wear on the reverse. Then note the circulation on the rest of the laminated area.
I think your coin laminated before the strike on the reverse in an area that would be defined by the weakly struck area on the obverse. After some circulation the rest of the laminate came off and more circulation followed.
If I am correct you have a split before strike Indian. Very Cool !

I noticed that too Stoneman227. If that's the case, after the lamination pealed and the coin was struck, it had to have pealed a second time in the same area

I suspect that the portion of the reverse face opposite the weakly struck area on the obverse split off before the strike. The remainder split off after the strike.
Error coin writer and researcher.
