I thought that as well Dave. Sometimes the easiest solution is the simplest.

I had the same thought. I even watched a couple of YouTube videos on how to "dismantle" a slab with a hammer. But in the end, I decided that selling is probably best. I am sure there is someone interested in owning these graded coins...and I might even find 'em!

Spend some time on CCF.
Post some pictures of your collection.
Get the required post count.

FYI
In most cases it is hard to buy a coin, hold it for
a short time, sell it, and not lose money on it.

I will most definitely stick around. The forum is chock full of good info. And, I am really not trying to make any money here (wouldn't mind losing a few bucks). I'd be happy finding homes for these coins. Someone looking for NGCs etc.

Thanks!

@oldwest, you can edit away these sorts of autocorrects by opening your post within 15 mins by clicking on the edit icon.

Yep just like an old pro now. You might consider posting pics of a coin over in the appropriate forum (e.g. Classic US coins) and get the opinions of others. I understand that they are already slabbed, but I think you will find interested viewers and graders no matter what the coin.

I say crack them.

It will take an effort to list, ship, and sell them. Even then you might not recoup the money needed to replace them with raw coins.

You can buy wonderful stiff Mylar pages that holds 9 TPG per page. Then you could keep them in a binder with your raw coins.

If you have $10 TPG coins they will likely lose nearly all of their value if you crack them out.

I have no slabbed coins. I've purchased some and just break them out.
