Thanks for all of the compliments on the coin guys! It was definitely a celebratory moment for me. I have never sent a coin in to be slabbed. I guess it's time to figure that part of the hobby out. Any tips on which TPG co I should use and/or how to go through the process?

I think probably the simplest and least expensive would be ANACS. Some of the others want you to join their club so you can pay dues too. Congrats on the very nice coin!

with coinmaster unless you have an lcs that you frequent that does NGC submissions and he'll let you piggyback on one if his bulk submissions this is what I do from time to time and the guy has always been very willing to do it. I dont know what their rules are as far as this but the guy has never even attempted to charge me extra-that said,my brother went to one once in FLA and the dealer tried to charge him an extra 50$ per coin I told him to run! I'm curious tho on others experiences and if they are even allowed to attempt to charge customers for this service?

Graded YES, through PCGS. Then if selling is the intent Heritage Auctions. PCGS will make it more valuable right now (like it or not, just the way it is...) Heritage Auctions seems to be the best place to get that increased value out of it. PCGS has it valued from a few hundred to 13K in MS65... Good Luck, Robert

If you search on HeritageCoins.com you will find some selling prices and get an idea of what it might be worth in different grades.
