1918/7-D Overdate Variety Buffalo Nickel? Please Advise!

I've owned 2 and the bottom loop of the 8 shows the leg of the 7 cutting half off clearly. I have my doubts on this one.

Some LDS coins have this die crack. See if yours has it remaining in the protected area.

Even if it is, I wouldn't think there would be much value in it. People wanna be able to see it, don't wanna have to turn it every which way to try and make it out.

Well, you guys were right again! It came back from ANACS as a regular 1918-D nickel.

I also had sent off a Flying Eagle cent that I thought was on the edge of VF, almost EF. It came back EF-40!

Mint mark location will help on pre 1990 coins.
