Thanks for everyone's input. I will try to get better pictures out later today.
Any members/collectors from the Lafayette Louisiana area? I could really use your help on my 1964 Kennedy half piece.

If it looks like this then, it is machine damage after the strike.

Those crosses look raised in the images and they certainly don't look to be random cleaning marks.
If they indeed are silver and a part of the coin and not glue or something like that then this is indeed an interesting coin.

Linda, the marks on your coin you have pictures are exactly the same marks I have on my coin. Exactly in the same locations. All raised material, and again contrary to theories by others who do not have the coin in hand, no gouges, cuts,or glue, but all silver material raised off of the coin. I am really excites that you poated pictures so as to let me know that there are other coins that have the same thing going on and that it is not PMD.

Well it's clear now, as much as some may wish it was, it is not PMD. Who could duplicate raised X's in the exact same spot on a coin? There will be more that come forward with this coin, I am sure! Either way, hang onto it Linda! This coin is special, and folks are going to be talking about it!! That being said, I hereby dub it, the Kennedy Triple X Half Dollar! Let it be known!

See your other thread for a side-by-side comparison. They're not in the exact same spot. Likely PSD, but it is interesting that there's more than one like this.
