I subscribe to Numismatic News. I need something to read in the Throne room.

I subscribe to the greysheet. Its the only numismatic publication that is not 90% ads.

Is there a decent magazine for contemporary Canadian coinage?

Numismatic News Express. Roughly 50 pages or so. I think it is the same thing as the print version, only in PDF via email. Best part, totally free. I read it cover to cover, and unlike any other media I consume, I devour the ads even. Sometimes the advertisements are better than the articles even. National show listing is really handy. All the regional shows in all the various states with contact info and pricing.

I subscribe to Coin World and try to pickup a grey sheet every six months or so to help make sure my purchase and sales are reasonable.

Only through clubs any more. Numismatist from the ANA, The Asylum from the Numismatic Bibliomania Society and Pennywise from the Early American Copper club. I used to be a member of many other clubs but have let my membership lapse though I've kept all the journals, Gobrecht Journal from the Seated Liberty Collectors, John Reich Journal, Longacre's Ledger from the Fly-In club, and many more.

The main ones I subscribe to are Canadian Coin News and Coin World Monthly. NNE and Coins Weekly are great for email updates on new releases. Just switched over to the digital version of CCN to save a few dollars. Not sure if I will miss the paper version over the next 12 months but I can still grab the occasional hardcopy at a local area show when available.
