although its tough to tell the luster in these pics. nice coin though.

Coin has great luster, adjusted WB (using auto adjust) in editing to show flaws and try to get rid of slab defects.

You can still see a little bit of the cartwheel from the luster on the sides especially on reverse.

Same pictures...just lightened.

These are more accurate to what coin looks like. Still doesn't show full luster.

Sorry guys and gals I'm still playing with new set-up and software. 1st slabbed coin to go through it.

I'm at MS64 if the cheek is as good as it appears in your photos.

PCGS said MS64. The toning is take it or leave it.

Looks like MS-64. The photos have great detail, but the luster isn't showing well. Maybe less light diffusion and more directional lighting?

I agree, break it out and put it in your album. once you have done that once it wont be as big a deal. I had the same thoughts when I wanted to crack my first one out. it belongs with the rest of your coins. someone mishandled this one a lot. there a fingerprints everywhere. maybe an acetone bath will help. good luck on your breakout.

Breast seems to have some wear so first thought is AU-58 but I suspect they let that slide and gave this one a 63 (or 64 ... just saw grade was already posted!)

I won this one on the bay. Cost $45.65/ free shipping

I think the sellers very poor pictures (not from a coin dealer/collector) held it back. I trusted the PCGS slab to be at least what it was reading as, and as always I verified serial number before bidding.

Ok so here it is.

I do believe it is a strong MS63 as I have seen much worse coins get this grade now a days. Wouldn't be too surprised if it did make MS64 if resubmitted though.

Edit: Any Vammers out there looking at this, could you please tell me if the is a normal O or high O. To me it looks high and to the right, but not tilted. There however is not a 1900 O with mm position high and right(Not tilted) listed.

I do know this is a near date, just need MM position to determine VAM.

Seems like a reasonable market grade. I think they were on the fence about AU-58 v/ MS-63 and decided to give it the benefit of the doubt and net it out at 62.

I wouldn't see it more than 63, typical weak New Orleans strike, hair seems nice, but eagle breast feathers almost non-existent. I'd crack it out this isn't by any means a rare date. Throw it in the Dansco.

It appears to be one of the VAM-23 dies, but impossible to tell without magnification. MM position & date position match the VAM 23 series - near (2D from bust point), slanted (0 higher than 1), and O MM high and set right.

I just got here, but I was rooting for MS-63, myself.

By the way, One of the first things I thought to myself was, "What nice photos!"
