Ok...here's one for the label haters. Get this: Here is a COMPLETED SALE for a "First Day of Issue" version of the medals..and we know how rare first day of issue coins are (all of them that presently exist) So this distinct rarity sold for a reasonable price I guess: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2016-W-S-AM...AOSw-kdXx0uRRemember...someone actually paid this. Reinforces my motto: "Don't sell 'em what you want, sell 'em what THEY want"

WOW. I think I'll list my (not graded) 2nd set of S&W as "First Day of Issue" and see what happens.

That is just ridiculous. I have no sympathy for the buyer. None at all.

And there were EIGHTEEN bidders with SIXTY bids. So either it was a shill party or there were a lot of folks that really, really wanted to throw away that much money.
Now, I can understand getting caught up in the excitement of a bidding war and spending more than you had planned on an auction, but that's just crazy.

I would laugh if the winner thought they were going to flip the pair for profit. I would freak out if the winner was actually able to pull it off.

Six different bidders were in a bidding war once it hit $1000 ..and.. Quote: WOW. I think I'll list my (not graded) 2nd set of S&W as "First Day of Issue" and see what happens. maybe "Within the first eight minutes of being on sale" label
