I said it was unlikely to be on a foreign planchet not impossible. The planchets were supplied by an outside firm and if they are making planchets for another customer there IS the chance that one of the other companies planchets could get mixed in with the US Mint order.

Mayelaaz; Your coin appears to have a Retained Cud. The OP original copper looking photo, does not seem to match the later silver colored coin. Almost appears as two different coins. Dan

That is not a Retained Cud. That is a large scratch. No displacement of the die either.

I dont know if anyone mentioned it but the date itself doesn't even match. Regardless what it was struck on, the 2 is a different style and somewhat rotated counter clockwise from what im.seeing.

I have a1991D proof penny that is like that. Mine weighs 2.9 no bubbles and 33% nickel. Help! It is not a fa k e. Or come plated. Weight no bubbles and a professional machine reads 33% nickel. Then,, zinc and copper. They said it was not stripped or coated..its the real thing.so I need any advise ple ASE
