I was thinking more along the line of vf20 when I received the coin. Here is what NGC thought.

The reverse must have cost it big in the opinion of NGC.

The reverse did drag this one down as it appears to be honest wear and not strike issues.

I think 15 would be more accurate since the obverse usually carries the grade. Nothing at all wrong with owning undergraded coins either.

Send it for an uptick to NGC or PCGS. It will certainly be worth it. IMO, you can get F15 and STILL debate it to a VF20.
To me, its the slight rim nicks and dings that drug the slab down. Reliefs and surfaces are typical of a debatable VF20
Great looking dime. Congrats.

It is indeed a nice-looking example, and I think F-12 is just right. Disagree with a re-submission; the reverse just doesn't have it. Re-grade might yield F-15 at best - not worth it.

It looks great and I think it's fairly graded.

Quote: F15 would be the conservative grade IMO.

I'd have to be in the F15 camp too.
