Thanks all

I assume this album dates from the late 70s or early 80s? I know they aren't valuable, but I love the huge chunky coins from the period of inflation in the 80s, especially the crown sized $50. Any plans to expand the album, or are you just focusing on upgrades or your next project?

I am guessing this album dates mid to late 1970's.

I do plan on picking up some 1800's Mexican coins.
I want more cap and rays type.

For upgrades, if better examples come into the LCS I will try
to pick them up.

Next I think I will be putting some focus on my Canada type albums.

Nice job!

I never could find a reasonably priced dansco so went with 2x2 20 pocket pages. My Mexico type set has 154 of 159 total coins (no gold). Almost done!

Really a lovely collection. This is a perfect example of whey type coin collecting is so popular, regardless of the country. You get to see a bunch of neat different types page after page. Congratulations.

Really cool set! Thanks for sharing, and I especially love the large "crown" like coins.

Matt ... 154 of 159 that sounds like a very impressive set of coins.

And if I remember right you have completed the Canada type set.
Along with the U.S. Type.

I think we were on the same track, trying to do type set for
major North American countries.

I need to see if I can fill some empty holes in my Canadian albums.

Man o man, awesome set and congrats! Seeing your recent posts regarding the Dansco Mexico set makes me want to get one, I already have many of the silver coins but I have always been wary of unwanted toning in albums. Have you experienced any in yours?

The 20 centavos minted from 1955-1971 is a special and sad piece because it was the end of the era for the Cap & Ray design having been used since 1824.

GR58, thank you for sharing your amazing collection.
Looks like your mission is to leave no holes unfilled.

RealPeso ...thanks for posting

I love silver coins ... and have quite a few of them in my treasure chest.
But I have to say I really do like some of these big copper coins.

As far as Dansco albums ... I am like Jbuck ... have had some of my
albums should nice the 1980's. With very little toning or problems.

I have seen all types of albums that were not kept in a climate controlled
environment where the coins did not do well. My Dansco Japan type
album is that way ...it was that way when I got it.

I have my core collection down to 45 Dansco albums .. so far I am not worried.

Bpoc1 ..thanks for posting...

I do like filling holes ...

I go round and round ...

Either filling holes ... then trying to get better coins .. to stacking silver.

Never made the decision what is best for me ... so I do them all

Congrats on completing a great set!

It is one that I have occasionally considered pursuing. I'm concentrating on other things at the moment, but maybe in the future...

Thanks commems

It really was a fun set to do. There are some I will upgrade when a better
one comes along.

Doing this set really will help me when I am searching through foreign coin bins
in the future.

I love these old Dansco type sets. I have the Canada two album set, that
I need to put some more time into.

But I would love to find Dansco for Australia and Great Britain.

Collecting US coins keeps my piggy bank broke enough but I admire these type sets.

Other than 1 oz. bullion coins I haven't ventured into foreign coins but it is tempting!
