Time to repost this: They will be showing up for years to come. Counterfeit sellers, who know they are China fakes. Buyers trying to re-coop their loses, relisting them as authentic. Here's a 5 gram counterfeit recently sold on ebay. You have to shake your head. Who in their right mind would buy it? ebay item 222523797421 sold by dcoy6313 a 100% feedback seller

Well there are people willing to buy/sell ebay accounts. Now I know why someone would buy an existing ebay account!

Wow that is very scary as they almost look exactly alike. If there's any listed on ebay, then we need to report the listings so ebay can look into the reported listings.
Errers and Varietys.

Informative post. The width along with the budge around the package is a easy way to tell its fake. I bought 2 off a ebay seller with low feedback ratings and after I received them I thought nothing about it and put them away. A week later I ran into some good you tube vids that showed fake perth mints that were flooding the ebay market. Right away I told the seller he sold me fakes and luckily he responded with " Oh no problem I will refund right away and quickly pass the blame to another seller that he claimed sold them to him! Shortly after he eliminated his account with ebay. Lol

There is a company in China that specializes in gold plated tungsten. They custom make bars, coins and even nuggets. Im sure many items on ebay and other sites and stores are fake thats why I buy shot and cast my own bars and rounds.

This is so scary, the counterfeiters are getting too good at this. I recently saw a youtube video where they were showing Morgans being made and the lengths they go to, fake wear and toning etc to make these look genuine. I'm guessing ASE's are being hit up also, sans fake PCGS or NGC slabs?

Maybe we should do something less risky like swimming with sharks than buying gold online from China.

Buy gold and silver shot from a reputable company such as APMEX and cast your own bars and rounds. It's fairly easy to do and fun.

Amazing how 13 months after this original post, the fake Perth bars are still circulating and being sold on ebay. Not to mention the kilos of fake gold now showing up in government vaults as well...... WOW!

Thieves ye have with ye always. Every counterfeit I've returned, I've punched it, so it can't be resold as genuine. The vendor that screams the loudest is the one to avoid. For ebay, all you need is a proof of a return delivery to get your money back.
