I went with the Flying Eagle. There are too many people/portraits and not enough symbolism on circulating coins.

I chose Lincoln Memorial, but it is really a tie with Wheat and I knew the probably Memorial needed some love in this poll.  |

 orange! I picked Indian Head cents as I have always favored those. Even tho I have more wheat cents and memorials in my collections. |

Voted for the Wheat cent. It mixes a relatively modern font with the old-fashioned device of the wreath. I almost voted for the Union shield cent. I love the symbolism it represents, and frankly, I think it's just a really cool-looking design. |

I voted Indian Head. The Wheat would be a close second for me. I'm not a big fan of real people on circulating coins. Commemoratives are a different story.

I voted for the Indian Head cent. It has always struck me as odd that there was so much hatred directed at the Native Americans in the 19th century, but for half of the century, there was a depiction of a Native American style headdress on something as common as everyday change. I also like how the Shield Cent currently has no votes...  |
