Looking around I see dozens of 1921 Peace dollars in straight PCGS XF45 holders sold in the last two years for $100 or less. That suggests to me that raw, this coin is only worth about $60 raw. For $100 you could hold out for a really premium quality raw coin near AU or better. I would not say this coin is a PQ or A-grade XF example.

you seem to be emotionally involved about this coin numismatic student. The links you provided showed whitish colored coins that seemed to have less detail than the one I bought. I do not agree with your opinion of $60 value for this coin. Lots of worse looking ones sold for more than $100 on the bay IMHO

I dont think I have done anything but provide my conclusions based on data I have looked at. You are welcome to disagree with my conclusions.

Looks like a really nice XF-45 to me. As numismatic_student has said, he is new to this, and normally newbies like blast white coins that are overdipped or not. I would rather pay $100 for this than ones with the links provided. Id value this at around $120. I think you got a good deal.

I understand why you wouldn't want a dipped or cleaned coin. I havent always been able to spot those accurately. But I don't understand the predilection for dirty or dirty-looking coins. I don't think my taste is going to shift to embrace that look.

I bet it does. Getting back into collecting after an 8 year absence, my tastes have changed in a very short period of time and I am one thick-headed dude. Mainly because of the knowledgeable folks of CCF but also going through my collection and discovering the beauty of coins in their original state.
