MS65PL. DMPL depends on the contrast and the depth of the mirrors, both of which are nearly impossible to tell from pictures. The difference in color between both pictures is mildly disconcerting. This is an extremely attractive, and very scarce, coin in this condition. Values - very rough estimates only as PL/DMPL pricing varies immensely from coin to coin based on cameo contrast, luster, toning, frost breaks, mirror depth, bag marks, VAM, etc, etc. 64PL $1200+ 64DMPL $2500+ 65PL $2200+ 65DMPL $5000-$7500+ Finest known at PCGS = 8 MS66PL, 3 MS66DMPL.

I blew this up and took a closer look at the surfaces. there is what appears to be a small nick at 13 oclock on the obverse and the rest looks like light rub. I retract and revise my initial assessment and regrade it at MS65 PL. this is killer coin! if you submit it, please repost and let us know the result whether it gets the acclaimed DCAM designation.

I'm not so sure, the close up photo isn't detailed enough to really tell if the marks above and below the eye are luster breaks or coin strikes, disrupting the metal. I'm tentatively at MS64PL for this,,,
MS63PL if there are indeed hits on the cheek area, one doesn't often see PL in this date anymore.
Would be killer in an original GSA Holder.

It looks like it could make MS-65 PL.

MS 63+ or low MS 64 PL. Send it in! What kind of holder is it in?

I think the cheek is limited to MS63 and I can not say with any certainty that the coin is PL.
Are both sets of images by you?

Is this even the same coin?
Reverse MS64PL Obverse MS63
Net grade MS63
By the way, those are die gouges, not scratches.

From the new pictures, I would also think MS-63.

My original grade of MS63 still stands, no way it's going to MS64 and now I don't think PL would be a correct call either.
