Agree VF-35, not quite enough meat for EF. Very attractive and original.

The gray color in the fields is what you want to see on a circulated piece of 19th century silver. The lighter areas on the devices are a distraction and indicate less than optimal storage. I agree with the VF-35 grade, and I would say the coin is essentially original with the lighter areas on Ms. Liberty and the eagle

The coin is original. I also do not think it is XF. XF LS coinage should have no loss of detail of wing feathers nor should the blouse top be flat. I have it at VF-35 as well. You should buy it at between VF and XF money, not strong XF money.

Quote: Seller wants $100 shipped. Too much? Sounds reasonable for this coin.

I got it for $100. It was too good a price compared to the slabbed VF35s which go for $150++ on ebay. And it'll fit nice in my 7070. Thanks for all the grading help I'll post pics of it when it arrives.

Nice coin .. I agree with others .. VF 35 ... close to XF
I would have liked getting it for less than $100 ... but if I needed to fill that empty hole I would not have passed it up.
