not so bad for a Greek AE coin , especialy the obverse is very nice .On the reverse , the monogram under the SO of (AMI)SO(Y) looks to me : Tau Lambda Ypsilon. Congrats, albert .

Very nice. I bought one late last year as it had been on my "want list" for a while.

The image of Gorgon doesn't look as dreadful as her name would imply.

Quote: The image of Gorgon doesn't look as dreadful I was thinking the same thing. Instead of snakes for hair, it looks like she has leaves or maybe feathers.

Nice coin! It has pretty nice surfaces for a Greek bronze. I recognize that marble background... he has put up some good coins on ebay!

Ron, you have inspired me once again! As I have been digging into the online version of the SNG British Museum, I'm thinking that I can attribute both of our coins as #1187. That means that the left monogram is a combo letter Alpha and Delta plus a letter Tau. On the right should be a letter Alpha and upside down V with a bar across the top of both letters. As always, I'm open for corrections and alternate attributions.

Nice one echizento. This is one of the first Greek coins that I acquired. I got it at a local coin show. I've always liked the types. It still reminds me of the thrill I got out of finding ancient coins in the beginning. I think I paid about 60 for this one.
