thanks for the votes and opinions everyone. I expected a strong support for A due to its slightly more attractive appearance because of the less even toning but that isn't the case. some good points here are made why to choose the reverse. and Earle42, I couldn't agree more..it is quite a beautiful design..are you familiar with the 1935 Canadian dollar obverse?
also, I don't think there's ever been a poll to get the whole forum's input and decision on a single member's future profile picture..i thought it would be a really cool idea to put it up to you guys and girls to decide, so i'd love your thoughts on such a concept.

I didn't vote. I see nothing wrong or old or anything with your present one.

I decided that I might as well vote for B (it's less ugly), but I definitely like your current pic much better than either.

I voted for this ... Actually I voted for the reverse for the same reasons others stated. Nice coin by the way.

Looks like the reverse is the more popular idea. I have to agree with the choice.

I like the reverse! I think others said it best. It shows where you are from and what you like.

I like the obverse. It's a more dramatic image, and it's always nice to connect a figure to a name (even though George V probably doesn't look anything like you...!)

My vote is for the canoe, country name, denomination (reverse). Before making the request to change, try resizing them to the size they will be when used as your avatar (I think 96 x 96 pixels). For example... I personally feel the darkish toning obscures some of this particular coin's detail at this resolution ... but you can still tell that the coin is a Canadian dollar!
