Thanks Bud250r! Can't wait to get these in hand. Trying not to spend every spare minute scanning the next GA auction.

Thanks again. After winning, I felt like the MS65 was... perhaps not quite MS65. I've been doing a lot of reading about grading and there seems to be a faction among coin enthusiasts which feels that there are some issues with 'gradeflation' and overgrading nowadays. I hoped the older holders would maybe protect me a bit. That and the CAC.

I've read many stories and seen 'brag' threads about 'Check out what I found on ebay' where someone who can grade buys a coin that turns out to be undervalued. I dream of doing that but learning the ins and out of grading seems like a very long process.

You're now an official "coin buff." IMHO, "Buff Nickels" are THE most American design of all .... sharp specimens you've acquired!

Thanks ExoGuy. Right now I'm just waiting to see these coins in hand. As billjones pointed out in another thread, GC may tend to overexpose their photos and this may tend to hide imperfections a bit? Don't know if this is the consensus but I do find the HA photos to be better, and none compare to the ones I see from i.e. some of the numismatic photo specialists.

I really (really) need to start getting out to coin shows to see coins in person.
