I don't think it would guite make 12, closer to 10. But it really doesn't matter. The stains, possibly from a rubber band, puts this into details.
Unless it's extremely cheap it's not a coin I'd ever recommend.

Quote: VG Details. $150 retail. I know its not a BU piece, but if I could find one this nice looking for 150.00, I would love it! Have I been pricing piece in the wrong place? I admit its only been ebay. But the most I saw for 150.00 were holed etc.

Thanks for these links. That 1872 is too worn, but I wish I would have seen some of the others before. I would like to have one like this just to say I have one. I must have just hit bad times for looking. B/c everything I saw even in the 200.00 range was worse looking that 1861 and 1847. I guess when I get serious (maybe now that I see they can be had for this I will) I will need to spend more time on ebay.

Is it just me, or are the 1847 and 1841 Seated dollars fake? Suspicious surfaces, plus it seems like same guy selling under 2 different names. Clearly the same area was used for the pics of both coins.
